Growing Blackberry Auto: What to Expect

Blackberry Auto is a compact plant that fits tight spaces while still delivering large yields. Tight internodes and purple hues make it a favourite among growers looking for fast results and attractive flowers, and it performs indoors or outdoors.

Grow tips:

  • Use an 18-hour light cycle from seed to harvest.
  • Apply light defoliation during flowering to increase airflow and light exposure.
  • Perform a two-week flush before harvest to improve smoothness and flavour.
  • Feed with moderate nutrients to prevent nutrient burn.
Storage and Germination

Storage: keep the seed in a cool, dark place, preferably in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Not the freezer.

Germination: use the glass or tissue method.

  • Glass method: soak the seed in a glass of room-temperature water for 12 to 24 hours. If the first root hasn't appeared yet, move it onto moist tissue. Never leave a seed in water for more than 48 hours.
  • Tissue method: place the seed between two sheets of moist tissue in a warm, dark place and check daily.
  • Once the first root (taproot) appears, transfer the seed to soil.
  • Seeds sown directly into soil are not covered by our germination guarantee.
