Blue Gelato 41 grows into medium to large plants with strong branches and dense, resin-coated flowers. Indoors it flowers in 63 to 70 days and yields up to 700 g/m². Outdoors it thrives in warm Mediterranean climates. It is vigorous and beginner-friendly.

  • Its strong branches carry the dense, resin-heavy flowers, which means less structural support is needed than on comparable plants.
  • Use high-quality organic soil, which helps preserve the terpenes and supports resin production.
  • The blue-purple colouring develops during flowering, and colour expression depends on conditions rather than being guaranteed.
  • Outdoors it wants a warm Mediterranean climate, which suits a Maltese season.
Storage and Germination

Storage: for long-term storage, keep the seeds in a cool, dark, airtight container in the refrigerator. Not the freezer.

Germination: use the glass or tissue method.

  • Glass method: soak the seed in a glass of room-temperature water for 12 to 24 hours. If the first root hasn't appeared yet, move it onto moist tissue. Never leave a seed in water for more than 48 hours.
  • Tissue method: place the seed between two sheets of moist tissue in a warm, dark place and check daily.
  • Once the first root (taproot) appears, transfer the seed to soil.
  • Seeds sown directly into soil are not covered by our germination guarantee.
