Guava Auto grows a tall central cola with short lateral branches, reaching up to 120 cm. Its mixed heritage produces thin fan leaves and a high bud to leaf ratio, which means less work at harvest. It resists mould and pests well, withstands harsh conditions, and needs minimal care throughout the cycle.

Cultivation difficulty: low maintenance. Suitable for novice growers and anyone managing a tight schedule.

• Timing. 8 to 9 weeks from seed to harvest. This is an autoflower, so it flowers on its own schedule with no light change to manage.
• Yield. Up to 550 g/m² indoors.
• In Malta. High resistance to mould and pests makes it a sound outdoor choice in the local climate.

Grower tips

• Train it for a bigger yield. Plant benders and similar training techniques work well on this structure, since the short lateral branches respond to being opened out.
• Odour is manageable, but plan for it anyway. The scent during flowering is moderate rather than absent, which is worth knowing before the plant is in a shared or overlooked space.
• It handles rough conditions. High resistance to pests and mould means it forgives an imperfect outdoor spot better than most of our range.

Storage: for long-term storage, keep the seed in a cool, dark, airtight container in the refrigerator. Not the freezer.

Germination: use the glass or tissue method.

• Glass method: soak the seed in a glass of room-temperature water for 12 to 24 hours. If the first root hasn't appeared yet, move it onto moist tissue. Never leave a seed in water for more than 48 hours.
• Tissue method: place the seed between two sheets of moist tissue in a warm, dark place and check daily.
• Once the first root (taproot) appears, transfer the seed to soil.
• Seeds sown directly into soil are not covered by our germination guarantee.
